Synopsis

The world of Colourful Games is full of brightly coloured objects that encourage children to discover this world for themselves. They learn more about themselves and the world around them through play: exploring, climbing and jumping, letting go and finding new points of contact. The Hessian State Ballet presented its own version of this piece by Birutė Banevičiūtė, entitled Farbenspiel, in 2017. Now it returns in the original production and invites kindergarten children aged between three and six to join the dancers and immerse themselves in brightly coloured balls, ribbons and hula hoops. Guided by the dancers, they become part of the action themselves. A production that delights viewers with its interactivity and gives its young audience a playful introduction to the world of dance.
