Synopsis

What if you could suddenly see the world entirely differently? The piece Augen. Blick. Weiter. Schauen. uses some very special visual instruments to invite children aged three and over to expand and shift their own way of looking at things and to be surprised. First they watch, then they join in. A piece is created from multiple perspectives, combines dance and the visual arts and asks: what do you actually see when you look at something?

tout petit is one of the leading dance companies for young audiences in Flanders. For their new piece Augen. Blick. Weiter. Schauen. the choreographers Lies Cuyvers and Ciska Vanhoyland have joined forces with the visual artist Ief Spincemaille to create a very special stage space. Ief Spincemaille creates art works that establish new relationships between human beings, objects and spaces. The art works can be carried around or worn and invite people to move differently in and through the space. A dance piece that changes the way we look at the world.
