Yodeling meets contemporary dance. The Frankfurt-based dancers Laura Hicks and Hannah Shakti Bühler alias Hicks&Bühler are fans of surprising meetings. In their third choreography after Reaching towards... and Der Klumpen, they are now on a search for the layers that connect the multifarious but often underestimated singing technique of yodeling with dance. The duo has congenial partners in the members of Frankfurt’s Jodlklub Liese Lyon and Johanna Milz as well as the musician Jana Sotzko. The five artists create a polymorphous meeting, an interwoven system of movement and sound, in which very different bodies react to one another in harmony and disharmony, with sense and nonsense.
