Künstlerhaus Mousonturm – Saal
For everyone age 12 and older
Length: approx. 60 Min.
When was the last time it hit you? That moment when everything gets out of hand. Where you want to run away or – even better – disappear into a crack in the ground, when your ears get hot, your head turns red and your hands don't know where to go. Welcome to the universe of shame. Damn it! How nice it would be right now if someone would help. If only the hairy leg would say something or the crimson face would show the arms how to casually disappear into trouser pockets. But aren't legs, head and breasts the source of all this evil? Too big, too small, too fat, too thin or strangely discoloured – they are the reason why everybody is once again looking at nothing but your body!
In their new production PINSKER+BERNHARDT invite everyone age 12 and older to explore shame as a strange and simultaneously fascinating physical state, which owes itself to the ability to externally observe ourselves and in which we somehow always find ourselves detached from our bodies. The stage is a laboratory in which three performers encounter gigantic body parts. These body parts are not only excellent singers, but also turn out to be experienced life coaches, who finally take it upon themselves to get to the bottom of this particularly absurd spectacle.
