Synopsis
Glitz is a glittering concert performance by the Sebastian Weber Dance Company that plunges the audience right into the heart of the pulsating energy of the night. With a live band, fog, disco beats and shining costumes, the space is transformed into a club where dance becomes a loud, wild and electrifying celebration. But Glitz is more than just a party: it is a celebration of the power of pop music as a driver of freedom, awakening and social change and makes the body politics in music and dance visible. Famous for boldly visual, high energy tap dancing, in Glitz the Sebastian Weber Dance Company combines contemporary dance with tap, funk, disco and rock. The seven dancers switch between vibrant club moments and polished tap numbers: loops and improvisations generate a hypnotic power while music from the live band fills the space with beats and rhythms. Glitz pays homage to the transformative power of pop – and invites its audiences to celebrate the culture of the night, dancing and the moment together. Feel the Glitz. Share the Glitz. Be the Glitz!
